On this tour you will be the driver of a buggy / UTV and this is probably the best way to get to know and feel this part of the island. This tour will take you to the highest points of the mountains that surround the Sete Cidades Crater, through secondary paths and dirt paths, where you will have an incredible view over dormant lagoons and volcanoes.

 

Points of Interest: Vila das Sete Cidades, Vista da Rainha, Pico da Cruz, Cerrado das Freiras and Cumeeiras, off-road around the Lagoon Azul

 

Know before you go:

  • We always recommend the use of comfortable, warm clothing and a waterproof jacket, as our climate changes very quickly and is unpredictable.
  • The use of slippers is not allowed;
  • Due to Covid-19 we do not have a toilet available at the meeting point;
  • Tour date can be changed depending on weather conditions;
  • The itinerary may be adjusted according to the participants’ driving capacity;
  • All drivers must bring their driving licence.
  • Drivers must sign a responsability statement to drive their vehicles.
  • This is an activity considered risky, participants must be in good to moderate physical condition.

  • Pico da Cruz (845 meters altitude) View to Lagoa de Santiago, lagoa Rasa and Sete Cidades lagoon.
  • Vista da Rainha/Miradouro das Cumeeiras ( View point for Sete Cidades, Green and Blue  Lagoon)
  • Cumeiras (offroad Superior Rim around the vulcanic crater)
  • Cerrado das Freiras (offroad around the lake)
  • Passing by Capelas village
